7-Day Nature Photo Challenge ~ Day 5

I was nominated by a fellow blogger, Quingdom, for a 7-Day Nature Photo Challenge, and I have been posting nature photos from my own stock of photos for a few days.

Today’s photo is taken in Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. I am not sure if this photo does justice to majestic Ha Long Bay, but I hope once you see this, you will be curious to learn more about it.

Ha Long Bay is a few hours away by bus from Hanoi and it is in an area where there are about 2000 limestone karsts and islands, most of them uninhabited by humans. The two days I spent in Ha Long Bay was the highlight of my Vietnam trip.  I took an overnight cruise in a small boat, sailed around these islands, got to visit a couple floating vinllages (there was a bank – a real bank- on the sea!!).
