Every time I look at this photo, I feel like I have just taken a deep breath.
This little lake and lush greenery are located in Upstate New York, only a few hours away from the city. I took this photo on an August day when I spent the weekend there for my friends’ wedding. The greenery around the lake was almost overwhelming to us coming from the concrete jungle we know as New York City. Needless to say, we took advantage of the lake pretty well.
Lately, I’ve been finding myself looking at photos taken then, and I thought this one could very well be a good fit for today’s assignment.
I like the reflection of the trees on the water. I did minor editing, colors were really this vibrant.
That’s a really nice photo, very easy on the eye. It reminds me of a similar lake I know high in the Massif Central in France.

Thank you! I had never heard of Massif Central and I just looked it up. Wow… You’ve just added another location to my list 🙂

That’s Europe for you, so many counties and so much different geography.
All you have to do is get on an airplane at JFK and it’s just a few hours away!
See you on the road!

See you on the road 🙂 And, as I am now located in Istanbul, it is even easier to visit the region.

I love the scenery. I thought New York is just a busy state

New York City is very busy, but New York State has a lot of green areas and small towns that are very picturesque.

Cool picture. There is always something about water and trees that draws us in. You must have been tempted to go in for a little dip?. Dan
